Description and notes:
This old wooden house near the heart of downtown Madison was once a beautiful example of Victorian architecture. These days it is falling to pieces, the paint is gone, and the "garden" looks like a forest. Al, a very grumpy, wheelchair bound man lives here ensuing that few other people can stand to. He rents the 8 bedrooms to travelers and residents for a negotiated price (usually food or booze) but few can stand his abrasive, critical attitude for more than a few months. Al has little of value any more and scrapes by day to day. Al is very old and claims to be a survivor of the apocalypse, but nobody quite takes his claims seriously. Whether or not he is truthful about his age, he is a fountain of knowledge about electronics and can fix just about any pre-fall device, for a cost.
